Alternative Engineering provides safety machine guards to an extensive range of operating plants and industries Australia wide, preventing injury and/or death within a workplace.
Improperly guarded machinery can result in workplace injuries and subsequent costs through down time, work cover claims and potential lawsuits. The cost of a well made guarding system is a small price to pay to avoid the penalties incurred in a major accident.
As promoted by WorkSafe Victoria, machine guards prevent or reduce access to the danger areas of a machine, enclosing flying particles generated by a machine and containing work pieces ejecting or disintegration of machine parts.
Alternative Engineering consults with each client to help identify potential hazards and then design the guard to suit the application.
Our services include, design, manufacture and where appropriate, installation of the guarding. We can also work with a clients electrical contractors to provide interlock and anti removal devices.
